General Warranty Terms and Conditions

Thank you for purchasing your Verbatim product.

These commercial warranty terms apply to Verbatim products sold in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI), unless different product-specific terms are stated on the product, its packaging, accompanying documentation or the relevant product page.

Verbatim warrants that the relevant products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable warranty period. This warranty applies only to products used under normal and intended operating conditions.

In the event of a warranty claim, the customer's sole remedy shall be the replacement of the defective product with an equivalent product. Verbatim reserves the right to provide a technically equivalent successor product if the original product is no longer available.

To make a warranty claim, the customer must provide a valid proof of purchase showing the original date of purchase.

Customers should first contact the retailer, distributor, or reseller from whom the product was purchased. The retailer, distributor, or reseller will provide information on the applicable return or warranty process.

What does "Limited Warranty" mean?

A limited warranty provides coverage only under the specific terms, conditions, exclusions and warranty period described in this document. It does not cover all types of damage, defects or losses. The warranty coverage is limited to the remedies expressly stated herein.

Exclusions from Warranty

The warranty does not cover:

1. Normal wear and tear

2. Damage resulting from improper use, misuse, incorrect operation, or negligence

3. Damage caused by accidents, force majeure, or external influences

4. Damage resulting from incompatibility with hardware or software

5. Loss of data of any kind

6. Products without proof of purchase

7. Batteries: Normal wear and tear, including the gradual reduction in capacity of batteries, rechargeable batteries and power banks resulting from normal use and ageing, is not covered by this warranty. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper storage, misuse, incorrect operation, or negligence.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, Verbatim shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from the use of the product.

This warranty does not affect the consumer's statutory rights under applicable law.

2-Year Limited Warranty

Scope

Unless otherwise stated, all Verbatim products are covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty.

Warranty Period

Two (2) years from the original date of purchase.

Warranty Coverage

If a defect in materials or workmanship is identified during the warranty period, Verbatim will replace the product free of charge with an equivalent product.

3-Year Limited Warranty (Internal SSDs Only)

Scope

This warranty applies exclusively to Verbatim internal SSD products. The warranty is valid for products purchased on or after November 27, 2024.

Warranty Period

Three (3) years from the original date of purchase.

Warranty Coverage

If a proven defect in materials or workmanship occurs during the warranty period, the SSD will be replaced free of charge.

Note

This warranty does not cover performance degradation resulting from normal flash memory wear or any loss of data. Customers are responsible for performing regular data backups.

5-Year Limited Warranty (DRAM Products Only)

Scope

This warranty applies to Verbatim DRAM products (memory modules).

Warranty Period

Five (5) years from the original date of purchase.

Warranty Coverage

Verbatim warrants that DRAM products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the warranty period. In the event of a valid warranty claim, the product will be replaced free of charge with an equivalent or technically comparable product.

Exclusions

This warranty does not apply in cases of:

1. Physical damage to the memory module

2. Improper installation

3. Modifications or repair attempts by unauthorized persons

4. Damage caused by power surges, misconfiguration, or external influences

5-Year Limited Warranty (Optical Media Only)

Scope

This warranty applies exclusively to Verbatim optical storage media (CD, DVD, Blu-ray, and M-DISC).

Warranty Period

Five (5) years from the original date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Warranty Coverage

Defective products will be replaced free of charge. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper storage, mechanical damage, or normal wear resulting from use.
