Freecom announce range of high quality hard drive docking stations

Freecom has launched the mDock range of high quality hard drive docking stations to provide easy access files on 2.5” and 3.5” internal hard drives.

The new mDocks from Freecom include a choice of interfaces and are housed in compact and tough metal enclosures, matching the attractive range of Freecom metal 2.5” and 3.5” hard drives.

Docking stations are suitable for both professional and home use, and can be employed for software or drive-image installations, quick formatting or erasing data, retrieving data from old drives, diagnostic checks and making backups.

With the choice of interfaces available, including USB 3.1 Gen2 / Type-C, USB3.0, USB2.0 and PATA/IDE, they can plug into any computer and be instantly available as an external drive.

The mDock 3.0, mDock USB-C™ and mDock Pro all have single vertical bays which accept 2.5” and 3.5” HDDs.  The mDock Duplicator has two bays, both of which accept 2.5” and 3.5” HDDs, also enabling data to be directly copied from one hard drive to another without going through a computer. The user just has to click the hard drives into the duplicator, press the button, and the hard drive will be copied.
